Cretan civilization has been identified with the symbol of the labyrinth. In Knossos it was imprinted in ancient coins, while the myth mentions it as an elaborate, confusing structure designed and built by the legendary artificer Daedalus for King Minos of Crete at Knossos. Its function was to disorientate the Minotaur to find the exit. The labyrinth as a timeless symbol and its course in it ultimately yields the resources that each one is called to experience in order to reach the center of his own existence.
