For its 2nd edition, the visual identity of CINEphil_101 evolved into a complete visual storytelling system inspired both by the festival’s logo and by the city of Heraklion itself.
This year, the festival’s iconic “thinking figure” is transformed into the official mascot of CINEphil_101 — a playful and instantly recognizable character moving through an illustrated version of the city. Architectural landmarks, everyday urban life, and elements of Heraklion’s cultural identity are integrated into the creative direction, establishing a strong connection between the festival, the city, and its people.
The visual language combines contemporary illustration, bold typography, and playful branding elements, creating an identity that functions both as a cultural narrative and as a modern communication system.
