The festival’s visual identity is inspired by the structure of a traditional film camera. In its logo, the camera reels are replaced by two symbols: a circular shape with an open center, and an asterisk-like figure representing a thinking human being. The word CINE appears in bold typeface, expressing the dynamic and artistic character of the festival, while phil_101 alludes both to the word “philosophy” and the academic term “101,” commonly used to denote an introductory course. A verbal and visual link between cinema and philosophy.
With the motto "Cinema that makes you think," CINEphil_101 is more than just a film festival. It is a space of artistic and philosophical coexistence — a reflective cinema that transforms the viewing experience into a starting point for dialogue and contemplation.
